Classics on Track – raising funds for children’s charities
Back in June, Checkmate Flexible Engineering had the honour of sponsoring the Classics on Track for Children event at Goodwood – an annual event to raise essential funds for the Duchess of Richmond and Gordon’s chosen children’s charities.
The legendary Goodwood track has become synonymous with classic motors, with events being hosted at the circuit all year round. The Classics on Track for Children first started back in 2014. It’s the brainchild of Paul Ashton and Michael ‘Spike’ Milligan. Since then, the event has raised over £55,000 for charities such as Winston’s Wish, Best Beginnings, Cruse Bereavement Care and The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Children’s Fund.
These charities are doing incredible work supporting children and families across the UK. Checkmate Flexible Engineering are proud to be able to support such a worthy cause – and enjoy the wonderful classic cars in the process!
