Just like living things, products evolve. This evolution is driven by market forces, new technology, and the desire to offer better long term value through innovation. Checkmate’s award-winning dunnage bags are a prime example of products embodying Darwin’s famous hypotheses.
A lesson in longevity
We recently received a twelve-year-old dunnage bag (Serial number 28) back from a customer for inspection and service. Not only was it still going strong, our inspection proved the bag still had years of life left – even after travelling millions of nautical miles. It is a testament to our products, which are designed and manufactured to last.
New moves
A true engineer’s work is never done – which is why to keep us as true world-leaders in our field, we continue to make advancements.
The 2014 dunnage bag (Serial Number 67,000) has a number of improvements:
- The corner fill valve allowing full insertion into narrow gaps
- Clearer, larger labelling
- High visibility handles
- Easy to use hose coupling for the top up and pressure maintenance system
- Radio frequency identification tagging for inventory management and service record.
To sum up: the same excellent ruggedness but easier to use, more effective, and a bag which can be tracked for inventory and cost control.
