Sir Roger Moate

It is with great sadness that today April 15th 2019 we mourn the passing of Sir Roger Moate, a non-executive director of the company for over a decade in which his enthusiasm and passion for everything Checkmate shone through.
His kindness and consideration to those around him and his interest in the wellbeing of all staff, enhanced his contribution to the business as a whole. His strong connections to Norway whilst a Member of Parliament resulted in King Harald V of Norway bestowing the Royal Order of Merit upon him. He travelled to Norway in support of the business on many occasions and was instrumental in guiding us through difficult times. We shall ever be in his debt.

Our condolences are extended to his family and in particular his daughter Sophie, a tower of strength during his illness over the last few years.
